Join us to celebrate Virgil’s 40th Birthday! Virgil, one of our Turkey Vultures, hatched at the Chesapeake Bird Sanctuary and was transferred here after being deemed nonreleaseable due to being imprinted- having never learned that he is a bird and instead displaying interactive vulture behaviors towards humans. Over his 40 years with us, Virgil has helped to educate thousands of visitors and inspired the next generation of bird lovers. Join us for cake (while supplies last) and visit Virgil at his enclosure with one of his trainers.
