Volunteer Spotlight - Alyson Nylo

This month's volunteer spotlight shines on Alyson Nilo, one of our dedicated admit office volunteers.  She learned about our organization while listening to a radio show memorializing Flaco and hearing someone mention The Raptor Trust. Shortly after, she came to visit the Great Swamp and fell in love with all we do here.

Her favorite parts of being here are enjoying nature while doing fulfilling work and  having the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from our staff.  Alyson helps train new receptionists, always greets visitors with compassion, and is truly a delightful presence around the infirmary. Her positive attitude and helpful nature do not go unnoticed; she is always looking for another way to help.

A lover of all birds, it is hard for her to pick which is closest to her heart, but Alyson loves falcons - peregrines and kestrels most of all. Each week when she volunteers, she visits our resident falcons with admiration, and we like to think they admire her back. Volunteering here has been a rewarding experience for Alyson; contributing to an organization whose values she shares makes it especially fulfilling. TRT just would not be the same without Alyson’s dedication. Thank you for all you do, Alyson!
