Volunteer Spotlight - Daniel Keller
This month's volunteer spotlight shines on Daniel Keller. He found our organization when he was looking for volunteering opportunities which could improve lives and enrich others. He found The Raptor Trust to be a perfect fit. One of our most dedicated volunteers, Dan has been volunteering here weekly since 2018! Throughout our busy baby-bird summer season, he is all hands on deck caring, for our orphaned babies and is always a helping hand to staff. Daniel loves volunteering here at The Raptor Trust because it gives him the ability to work independently and freely, while still being able to collaborate with like-minded individuals. No matter what he walks into each week, Dan is ready to jump right in and get dirty, no questions asked. Whether it's helping the maintenance crew, or monitoring popsicle numbers in the freezer, he always greets each experience with a smile. Like many, Daniel is partial to Bald Eagles. Two of our permanent residents here are non-releasable Bald Eagles, Colonel and Uno, who he pays a visit to weekly. Overall, Mr. Daniel Keller is just grateful for this opportunity to work with the birds and give back to his community in a real way. We thank you for all of you do, Dan. The Raptor Trust would not be the same without you!
